The Volendammers were able to bring in Kökcü transfer -free. The former player of FC Eindhoven was active in Finland for HJK Helsinki last season. He also played for Telstar, RKC Waalwijk, FC Groningen and Feyenoord.
Azerbaijjan International wore the shirts of Sabah FK, Giresunspor and Bursaspor.
“I am very happy to return to the Netherlands at FC Volendam,” says Kökcü on the website of his new club. According to FC Volendam technical director Patrick Busby, he also had Kökcü in mind last season to bring to Volendam.
“Then he opted for a foreign adventure. We are happy that Ozan now chooses us. Ozan has scoring capacity, can fit well, stairs and passes. Ozan can play in midfield, but also from the left winger towards midfield.”
The preparation for the new season starts for FC Volendam on 26 June.
