Order unlimited dishes: sisters Jacqueline and Monique open restaurant Heinde

Carpaccio or sushi? Or a vegetable stew, curry or ham? Difficult to choose! You can simply order everything at the newly opened restaurant Heinde! Throughout the evening you can choose unlimited dishes that you like best. Even starting with your dessert!

Sisters Jacqueline and Monique Hoekstra were looking for a new challenge in the catering industry. Well, they found it! They will open restaurant Heinde in the former building of Restaurant Achteraf in early 2024.

In several cities

You may have already eaten at a Heinde restaurant, for example in Delft, Woerden or Naaldwijk. At Heide you can enjoy unlimited dining for a fixed price. These are small dishes from international cuisine: from Indonesian rendang to Dutch apple pie with whipped cream for dessert. Per round you and your group order a maximum of two dishes from the menu. And that can be unlimited! Drinks are also included in the price.

From cafeteria to restaurant

Sisters Monique and Jacqueline come from Reeuwijk, where they have had a Kwalitaria together for a number of years. “Before corona, in addition to our cafeteria, we were looking for a new challenge. The head office of Club Culinair is located in Reeuwijk. This includes the franchise chains Proeflokaal Bregje, La Cubanita and Heinde,” says Monique. “Because we like to visit Heinde in Woerden ourselves, we were curious about the possibilities for our own branch. But then the corona period came and our plans came to a standstill. Until some time ago the office contacted us to ask if we were interested in opening a business in Zoetermeer. We didn’t see that coming.”

Beautiful location at the Wilhelmina Park

Jacqueline and Monique’s children have now grown older and both mothers have more time for entrepreneurship. “So this new challenge comes at just the right time,” says Jacqueline. “We have just received the keys to the building and are first starting a renovation. We are also looking for employees and considering what we are going to do with the top floor. We may soon organize group dinners or private functions there.”

In order to open the restaurant without too much stress, the sisters decided to open Heinde in the new year. “We want to prepare as best as possible, so we have plenty of time to do that,” says Monique. “We look forward to welcoming Zoetermeer residents to this beautiful place. We are not from Zoetermeer, but we think the Dorpsstraat is such an attractive place. And look what a beautiful location our terrace has at the Wilhelminapark. We are excited!”
