On the river Poltava (Sakhalin) there was a melting of the snow mass. The incident happened on the territory of the Solntsevsky coal mine, where workers were performing engineering work. The government of the Sakhalin region reported on the TG channel that two people were caught under the snow. Emergency services and the head of the Uglegorsk district, Dmitry Tsukanov, left for the scene. V Ministry of Emergency Situations Russia in the region specified that 77 people and 12 pieces of equipment participated in the rescue work. Rescuers removed both victims from under the snow. One person was found in the first hours of the search, he was taken to the hospital in a satisfactory condition. The second was found dead.
