Olympic champion, former national wrestler İsmail Ogan (90), was taken to Serik State Hospital after getting sick yesterday evening. From there, Ogan was transferred to Akdeniz University Hospital, where he was treated in the intensive care unit of the hospital. It was stated that Ogan was diagnosed with respiratory failure and multiple organ problems.


Ogan’s veterinarian son, Faruk Ogan, said, “My father suddenly fell ill. We took him to Serik State Hospital, he was transferred to Akdeniz University Hospital. Doctors diagnosed him with respiratory failure and multiple organ problems. He is currently under treatment in the hospital. When we brought him to the hospital, his condition was severe. Doctors He said that he responded positively to the treatment and his condition improved.

Ogan, who has medals won in world wrestling championships and Balkan championships, also worked as a trainer for a while after ending his active wrestling life.
