Olymp closes 2022 with a significant increase in sales

The clothing supplier Olymp Bezner KG recovered well from the consequences of the Covid 19 pandemic in the 2022 financial year. On Tuesday, the shirt specialist based in Bietigheim-Bissingen announced that it was able to increase its sales by almost 41 percent to 227 million euros compared to the previous year.

In the past two years, in the course of the pandemic, “months of store closures, new forms of work, a lack of social events and an increasingly casual style of clothing” have weighed on sales, the company said in a statement. In the meantime, “the demand for clothing products has increased again”, but “a scarcity of resources, exponential increases in raw material prices and freight rates as well as negative currency effects have caused a tense situation on the procurement side as well as cost pressure and supply bottlenecks”.

The knitwear specialist Maerz Muenchen KG, which also belongs to the Olymp-Bezner Group, also made strong gains, with sales growing by almost 18 percent to 26 million euros last year. The cumulative total turnover of the group of companies thus amounted to 253 million euros.
