Oldest ever fossil of centipede the size of a car discovered on British beach

“A complete fluke,” Neil Davies of Cambridge University calls the largest and oldest centipede fossil ever discovered. Scientists stumbled upon the specimen of the extinct ‘Arthropleura’ on the beach of England’s Northumberland. The animal is said to have been more than 2.5 meters long and weighed about 50 kilograms.
