The two seniors were driving on the A12 near Utrecht when they were picked off the road by a road inspector. A recovery vehicle took the car to a place where the couple was allowed to drive so that they could continue their way safely.
The 45km cart is a microcar and therefore falls under the moped category. A microcar may use all 50 to 80 kilometers of roads, but a bicycle path, motorway or motorway is prohibited. A microcar is also not allowed to drive on roads that are closed to slow traffic.
