Olcay Gulsen to Lil’ Kleine’s record company Sony: ‘Hello?!’

Olcay Gulsen thinks it is ridiculous that the record company of Lil ‘Kleine has still not responded. She addressed it to Sony Music at Op1. “Where are you staying?”

Lil ‘Kleine seems to receive a velvety treatment from all his partners after every violent incident. His record label Sony Music is also silent now that it has been captured on video how the rapper abuses his girlfriend Jaimie Vaes. He signed there in September, after the infamous assault in Ibiza, ‘the biggest Dutch music deal ever’ (see below).

Olcay critical

Olcay Gulsen has addressed Sony Music, which has offered Lil ‘Kleine a contract of allegedly around 3 million euros, in Op1 that it will take a very long time before they come up with a response. Yesterday afternoon, the music giant announced ‘prepare a statement† Is Sony weighing up all its financial interests first?

“I am very much waiting for Sony Netherlands, because where is that statement?”, says Olcay. “They promised us that they would make a statement about their collaboration with Lil ‘Kleine.”

lax

It is bizarre how Sony is acting, Olcay thinks. “I think he signed the largest contract ever as a Dutch artist with Sony, an international club that is also very concerned with inclusiveness, safety, social responsibility. I think it is lax that we have to wait all day for that.”

According to Olcay, it is very necessary that Lil ‘Kleine is put in his place, also by a Sony. “What I think is money is the devil with these types of guys. I think if you take some of their money, status and power away from them, they might be more in touch with reality and more likely to seek help for their problems.”

Responsibility

Sony has a responsibility, Olcay says. “If we keep praising them all, I don’t think that reality is going to come any time soon and this behavior really isn’t going to change.”

Spotify has taken Lil’ Kleine out of its own playlists. “I do think that such large companies should take social responsibility. If they hear massively that people are bothered by it and they don’t want recommendations from Lil ‘Kleine, then I think it’s good that they do that. Then they will have their social sensor turned on.”

incomprehensible

Image expert Bart Maussen finds the lack of Sony’s response ‘incomprehensible’. “I don’t understand why they didn’t do that. They must have a headache from this man, because they have to do something now. Sony is a good company with a good reputation and someone like Lil Kleine can knock that reputation down,” he told RTL News

“Even though it costs a company like Sony a lot of money to cancel, if you don’t do it, it’s even more expensive, because then you have a bad reputation and no one wants to work with you anymore.”
