Number of deaths falls, just short of excess mortality | Inland

THE HAGUE – The number of deaths in the Netherlands fell for the fourth week in a row last week. There was just no question of excess mortality, mainly due to a decrease in mortality among the over-80s. In all previous weeks in December, there was excess mortality, according to figures from the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS).
