No real Labubu in Zoetermeer: here you buy Lafufu’s

Rihanna, Dua Lipa and more and more celebs are being spotted: the monsters of Labubu. These hugs – one finds them cute, the other scary – are true gathering items. The original were sold at Pop Mart in Amsterdam, but they are not for sale in Zoetermeer. The so-called Lafufu’s: a fake Labubu-Pop.

Labubu is the brand of monster hugs, designed by the Chinese artist Kasing Lung. The small hugs cost around 20 euros, and larger limited editions Costs 80 euros or even more than a hundred euros. The Lafufu’s are often cheaper.

At Gift Shop Keekee’s Shop in the Dorpsstraat you can buy the Lafufu in various colors. Owner Nathalie Vissers explains: “The minimum monsters are running like a train. My first order was quickly sold out. Now the stock has been supplemented with different shapes and colors Lafufu’s. I have tried to get the original Labubu, but that is impossible because of the enormous demand.” At Keekee’s shop you pay 15 euros per hug.
