“Hello-Bonjour”: complaint against beloved conductor who welcomed travelers in two languages, is well-founded

Ilyass Alba, the beloved NMBS conductor who greeted travelers in Flanders with “Goedend-Bonjour”, did indeed go wrong according to the Standing Commission for Language Supervision. On the part of the process he was then, he was only allowed to address travelers in Dutch. The NMBS argues again for smoother, more customer -friendly language rules.
