No more camps on the farm after fire
The fire broke out on Wednesday morning at De Boerderie in the Groeneplaats in Beauvoorde near Veurne. That is a youth residence center on a farm. The 108 children from all over Flanders were able to leave on time.

Asbestos was also released in the fire. There will be no more overnight stays all summer long. That is a real downer for Martine Rabaey of the center, especially after two corona years.
Daycare is still possible. Today there are about sixty children present.
