De Verenigde Staten trekken bijna 1 miljard dollar uit om verouderde Luchthaveninfrastructuur aan te pakken. The money has been used on the sea for the building of the New Terminal and Air Transport.
Het Amerikaanse Ministry of Transport was worth a total of 968.6 million dollars (948.6 million euros) toe aan 85 projects from Luchthavens. Naast new terminals in torens, gaat het onder meer om terminaluitbreidingen, new vliegeuigslurven, bijkomende bagagecarrousels, aangepaste controleposten and zelfs new toilets.
The money comes from a vijfjarig program of a total of 5 million dollars from the airport and is handed to you. Dat program maakt op zijn beurt deel uit van een large-scale infrastructuurwet ter waarde van 1 biljoen dollar het Amerikaanse Congress in November Goedkeurde.
Door te investeren in zijn luchthavens wil de Amerikaanse regering de capacity voor zowel passenger- than vrachtvervoer waarborgen of zelfs uitbreiden. Daarnaast is het de bedoeling om also de energie-efficiency te request.
Nood aan investing hoog
“America is a country that modern aviation has brought to the world, but it is a state that its grandchildren from our Luchthavens have in terms of quality in the top 25 world rankings,” says transport minister Pete Buttigieg. “Therefore we want to change in bringing.”
