Two-time gold medalist compares Beijing Games to Nazi Germany’s
On his return to his home country, two-time Olympic speed skating champion Nils van der Poel compared the Olympic Games in China with those of Nazi Germany in 1936. Opposite the Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet the skater says it is “extremely irresponsible” to assign the Games to a country that violates human rights as blatantly as the Chinese regime.
