PVV leader Geert Wilders pulled the plug from the cabinet yesterday morning. Half of the respondents understand that, although an almost equally large group does not understand the step.
It is mainly PVV voters who show understanding. “They are only opposed, even by the coalition,” Piet from Alkmaar expresses a common sound within that group. “The current combination, it now appears, never really solved the immigration problems. So hopefully a larger PVV can really do something about it,” says Johan from Hollands Kroon.
Also criticism from PVV voters on Val Cabinet
Yet there are also critical noises on your own party. For example, Susan from Haarlemmermeer says: “You have been chosen, so you have to do what you promise. And not as a toddler standing stamping and walking away.” But above all, most members, from left -wing to right -wing voters, find that the cabinet fell (61%). “From the start I thought it was a puppet show,” said Lisa from Heemskerk (PVV).
On the other side of the political spectrum there is joy. Voters on that side think it took far too long. GroenLinks-PVDA voter André from Zaanstad: “This cabinet was a hopeless mission and a shameless display.” It is also pointed out that nothing has happened in their eyes in the past year.
VVD and BBB voters disappointed
Only among the VVD and BBB voters are there more disappointments than happy people. “A lot of noise, but far too little decisiveness,” says Richard from Zaanstad (BBB). These voters also think it is a shame that the chance of a right cabinet seems to have been gone.
