How was the company born?
It all started in 2007, we were already received by lifeguards. We were looking for tights to work and train. We saw that in the market the designs and colors were quite basic, without a mesh style that we liked.
At that time we worked in an office fulfilling administrative functions. In addition, we always had this entrepreneurial spirit and went in search of our dream and project.
Our ideas materialized. We registered the Brand and in this way we started Dagua Mallas.
How were those first moments?
We bought our first sewing machine, then a pair of scissors, fabric and cardboard for molding. From there it was all trial and error. Without a break, we would come home from work and start with basic things, such as learning how to use sewing machines, use design programs, make a bite, cut and chalk. The venue was in one of our 4×4 house rooms. There was no more space, so it was quite a challenge.
With patience, perseverance and determination we learned all the areas and when we did not know or it was difficult, we took courses and training or watched tutorials on YouTube.
Our intention was always to start and finish the entire mesh manufacturing process, but for that we need more machines, training and knowledge. We decided it was time to apply for a loan so we could move forward. With that we bought two machines and a plotter. We could almost finish the process. But we still needed the sublimation plate. In 6 months, with savings we bought the iron. It was double the thrill, we had almost everything we needed to complete the job.
What products do you offer to the public?
The whole process is completely carried out in our factory.
In addition to swimming tights for water sports, we make leggings, multifunction collars, thermal sleeves, among other items.
In this year, we are going to launch another line of swimming tights with other designs and fits. Prioritizing comfort for water sports. At the same time, we are in the process of expanding with export projection and on the eve of opening our first physical location, since we are dedicated to fully electronic commerce.
We are very grateful to life, which gave us the opportunity to be close to good people who supported us in the process and continue with us. We also thank our customers who follow us and trust our products.
