In Moscow, thanks to the launch of a single high-speed diameter, the connectivity of 44 metropolitan areas with a population of more than 4.5 million people will improve, Andrey Bochkarev, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Planning Policy and Construction, said on Tuesday.
“The single high-speed diameter, which will stretch from Simferopol highway to the M-11 Moscow-St. metropolitan areas with a population of more than 4.5 million people,” the deputy mayor said.

According to him, the 68 km route, which will be formed by combining the South-Eastern and North-Eastern chords, will actually pass through the entire city from south to north, bypassing the center.
“Due to the fact that the highway will be without traffic lights throughout its entire length, motorists will be able to significantly save travel time – from 10 to 50 minutes, depending on the distance and time of day,” Bochkarev emphasized.
