New harbor crane can lift 125 tons

This new freight handler sees Ostend as one of its important transit ports for goods from the United Kingdom, Asia and Africa. Annelore van den Bleeken, Port of Ostend: “The crane can lift 125 tons and on Monday it will actually load the first ship, with pieces of windmills. We are trying to attract new traffic. That was eventually successful. We will mainly receive containers, but also general cargo, we are thinking of steel and wood.”
