Jantina Woudstra will succeed Ab van Ravestein as general director of the RDW as of April 1, 2022 and has been appointed for 4 years.

Jantina Woudstra (1973) is a good fit for the RDW because of her experience, background, knowledge and personality. She currently works as director of Network Development & Design, responsible for the NS timetable. She is therefore familiar with the world of mobility. In recent years, Jantina Woudstra has gained experience in her positions with mobility issues, complex environments and political-administrative relationships. Jantina: “From moving trains to road traffic. I look forward to getting to know another part of the mobility world. To be able to contribute to ‘everyone safe and secure on the road’. The RDW is a great organization and I can be part of it from April. I’m excited!”

Process

Ab van Ravestein’s announcement about his resignation as of 1 April 2022 prompted the start of a recruitment and selection process, in coordination with the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management (IenW). As a result of this process, the Supervisory Board has nominated Jantina Woudstra as the new general director of the RDW to the ministry. On December 22, 2021, the Minister of IenW approved the nomination of the Supervisory Board and she was appointed for a period of 4 years. Mariёtte Hamer, chair of the Supervisory Board: “Jantina is accessible, open and communicative. She is customer conscious and a team player with a good and solid network. She switches well between different types of interlocutors and seeks cooperation. The Supervisory Board is delighted with her arrival and the diversity this brings at the top. We look forward to the collaboration.”
