For the third time this week, a new daily record for temperature has been recorded. The thermometer in Uccle showed up to 31.7 degrees, says our weatherman David Dehenauw.
The previous record for September 9 was thus shattered. That record, which dated from 1898, was 30.2 degrees. Daily records were also broken on Wednesday and Thursday.
In Belgium we are currently experiencing the first heat wave in September since the measurements began. According to the forecasts, this will last until Monday.
