NATO Plans to Move More Battlegroups to the East

The North Atlantic Alliance is going to smuggle east additional battle groups. This statement was made by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg after talks with the foreign ministers of Sweden and Finland.

Stoltenberg clarified that we are talking about the Baltic countries, Poland, as well as the southeast direction. However, no such decision has yet been made.

“We remain open to continue the dialogue with Russia. As a follow-up to the dialogue earlier this month within the Russia-NATO Council, I already invited all its participants to continue a series of meetings to discuss European security, including the situation in Ukraine, the alliance’s relations with Moscow” Stoltenberg added.

Among other things, the Secretary General added that NATO officers continue to stay in Kiev. However, there are only two of them.
