National athletes won 12 medals in the 9th International Turkey Open Taekwondo Tournament



Turkish athletes won 12 medals on the sixth day of the 9th International Turkey Open Taekwondo Tournament held in Antalya.


According to the statement of the Turkish Taekwondo Federation, on the sixth day of the tournament, which will end tomorrow, competitions were held in the category of big women, which also gave points to the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.


Turkish athletes won a total of 12 medals, 4 gold, 3 silver and 5 bronze, at the end of the 8 weight class competitions.


Fatma Keleş in 46 kilos, Merve Dinçel in 49 kilos, Mervenur Evci in 67 kilos and Nafia Kuş in +73 kilos became the gold medalists.


Elif Ilgın Öztabak in 49 kilograms, Sıla Elif Yağcı in 53 kilograms and Hatice Kübra İlgün in 57 kilograms won the silver medal.


Aleyna Demir in 46 kilos, Rukiye Yıldırım in 49 kilos, Hülya Eda Kıransal in 53 kilos, Huri Korkut and Büşra Öztürk in 73 kilos won bronze medals.


On the last day of the tournament, competitions will be held in the big men’s category tomorrow.
