Naryshkin said that Moscow has no aggressive plans towards Kiev

Moscow does not hatch aggressive plans towards Kiev, declared Head of the Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) of Russia Sergey Naryshkin on the air of the Russia-24 TV channel.

“Russia did not have and does not have any aggressive plans towards Ukraine. We have seen, we know how this outright lie [о том, что Россия якобы планирует вторжение на Украину]and a very dangerous lie began to spread from the other side of the Atlantic, and this lie was picked up in a number of Western capitals, ”he said.

At the same time, the main threat to Ukraine is an internal armed conflict between the “Kiev regime” and the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk republics (DPR and LPR), Naryshkin continued. And this conflict can only be resolved through diplomacy, namely through the implementation of the Minsk agreements, the head of the Foreign Intelligence Service noted.

Since last autumn, Western politicians and the media have been reporting that Russia is preparing an invasion of Ukraine. Moscow denies these accusations. The Russian Foreign Ministry declared the unacceptability of “even the thought” of a war between Moscow and Kiev.
