Named the possible cause of the collapse of the elevator in the “President Hotel”

Became known the details of the tragedy that occurred on Thursday evening in the Moscow “President Hotel” on Bolshaya Yakimanka Street. According to preliminary data, two people died in the collapse of the elevator cabin due to safety violations during repairs, reports TASS.

Earlier it was reported that in the largest hotel in Moscow on January 13, when the elevator cab two workers died. According to updated data, two Armenian citizens aged 30 and 32 were employees of a contractor that specializes in the repair of elevator equipment. Repair of the elevator for staff, which is not used by the guests, was carried out on the seventh floor.

After the collapse, one of the workers was found dead on the floor of the elevator, the second repairman was squeezed between the cabin and the shaft, he also received fatal injuries.

According to TASS, the investigating authorities of Moscow opened a criminal case after the incident. “President-Hotel” continues to work as usual.
