Storm low Nadia swept over Berlin last Sunday night with wind force 10 (up to 100 kilometers per hour). The 23-meter barge tore itself from its berth in the Teltow Canal and drifted a few hundred meters across the Dahme without a driver. Then he crashed into a jetty in Wendenschloss.

The wreck is filled with water, the bow is already lying on the bottom of the four to five meter deep Dahme. Inside, two refrigerators, a stove, lots of dam and insulation material, tar paper.

“This is an environmental disaster!” says harbor master David. “We are angry because we are not being helped. It all floats and germinates here.”

The police confirmed the incident on BZ request. The fire brigade would have put some paint buckets and a tank aside on site. An oil boom was supposedly not necessary.

There is still no trace of the owner.
