The German U21 internationals Youssoufa Moukoko and Josha Vagnoman are absent from the German team’s final training session ahead of the second European Championship game against the Czech Republic for “reasons of caution”.
“Both had muscular problems after the game, the regeneration time is not that long,” said coach Antonio Di Salvo before the session in Batumi, Georgia.
The use of the two national team-experienced professionals in the game on Sunday against the Czech Republic (6 p.m., live in the full radio report of the sports show) is not in jeopardy. Striker Moukoko stayed at the hotel while Vagnoman was only supposed to do the warm-up with the team.
Changes in the first eleven possible
Looking ahead to the game, Di Salvo left open the possibility of changes in the starting line-up after a disappointing 1-1 draw against Israel. “We have to work on some things, we have players in mind,” said the coach. The team need a win against the Czech Republic to maintain a good starting position in the battle for a place in the knockout rounds.
