Muraev invited the British Foreign Office to ask about Mr. Bean’s loyalty to Russia

Former member of the Verovna Rada of Ukraine Yevgeny Muraev suggested asking Mr. Bean how the British Foreign Office could consider him a candidate for the position of “pro-Russian leader in Kiev.” He gave commentary to Strana.UA.

Muraev explained that since 2018 he has been under Russian sanctions due to a conflict with Viktor Medvedchuk, chairman of the Opposition Platform – For Life party. In addition, Russia seized all the assets of his family.

“Like the British intelligence services and the Foreign Office, this is combined with the fact that Russia allegedly wants to appoint me the head of the “occupation government” – this is a question for Mr. Bean,” he said.

Mr. Bean is a British comedy series starring Rowan Atkinson. The protagonist is an eccentric who gets into ridiculous situations, even when doing routine things.

Earlier, the British Foreign Office said that Russia is trying to bring a loyal person to power in Ukraine. The Foreign Office named Yevgeny Muraev as one of the candidates. Russian intelligence services are in touch with former Deputy Prime Ministers Sergei Arbuzov and Andriy Klyuyev, former Prime Minister Mykola Azarov and former Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Volodymyr Sivkovich, the Foreign Ministry said.
