Six alleged REvil hackers arrested for two months in Moscow

Eight suspects of participating in the REvil community were under arrest: the court arrested two the day before, six today. They are suspected under the article on the illegal circulation of means of payment.

The Tverskoy Court of Moscow arrested the detained defendants in the case of the hacker group REvil, data on preventive measures were published by the press service of the Moscow courts of general jurisdiction. In total, eight detainees are known.

On Saturday, January 15, the suspects Mikhail Golovachuk, Ruslan Khansvyarov, Dmitry Korotaev, Alexei Malozemov, Artem Zayets and Daniil Puzyrevsky were sent to the pre-trial detention center. All of them, with the exception of Malozemov and Puzyrevsky, were arrested before March 13, two were arrested before March 14. Daniil Puzyrevsky was the last to be arrested.

The day before, two more suspects of participating in REvil, Roman Muromsky and Andrey Bessonov, were sent into custody.

The FSB reported on the liquidation of the hacker community the day before. The secret service knows about 14 hackers, they seized more than 426 million rubles, hundreds of thousands of dollars and euros, as well as 20 premium cars. The operation took place in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Moscow, Leningrad and Lipetsk regions.
