The Italian brand Moncler has released an update following a malware attack that caused a temporary outage of its IT services the day before Christmas Eve. Although the stores and online trading could continue to operate, the brand announced in the first report that the outage was affecting the operation of the logistics centers and customer service. In a new statement on Thursday, the company confirmed that "the logistical activities related to the dispatch of the final products have been reactivated" and that it will prioritize shipping for its ecommerce customers. Customer service activities are also gradually being fully resumed. “We deeply apologize for the inconvenience caused to our customers by the delays in delivering orders and we apologize for the communication problems resulting from the system failure"is what it says from Moncler. While investigations into the attack are ongoing, Moncler has already confirmed that unauthorized access to personal data has been detected, the Italian data protection authority has been notified and the incident has been reported to the police. According to Moncler, the attack did not have a material impact on the group’s economic results. Moncler announced that it intends to share any further news while it resumes reactivation of services.
