Moncler grants eyewear license to EssilorLuxottica

The fashion brand Moncler has reissued its eyewear license. In the future, the Italian group EssilorLuxottica will design, manufacture and market the label’s eyewear collections. The two companies announced the conclusion of a corresponding exclusive agreement in a joint statement on Thursday evening.

The new license partnership will begin in January next year and will run until December 2028. However, an automatic extension option for a further five years has been agreed, the two companies announced.

The first “Moncler Lunettes” collection manufactured by EssilorLuxottica is scheduled to come onto the market in the fall-winter 2024 season. It will be available in Moncler boutiques and online shops, in EssilorLuxottica stores and in selected optical specialty stores.

The agreement now announced ends Moncler’s long-standing licensing partnership with the Italian eyewear manufacturer Marcolin SpA, which has existed since 2015 and was last extended in the summer of 2020.
