The initiative is part of “All for Zero”, the approach with which Minister Gilkinet aims for zero road fatalities. To achieve this, he counts on cooperation: with the police, the judiciary, the federal government and the regions, but also with all citizens. To involve them, Gilkinet is therefore launching a call for projects, which will run until 15 March.

“Anyone who has ideas for more road safety, in their own neighborhood or further away, can get funding. We are looking for concrete solutions for more road safety in all circumstances: close to home, on the corner of the street, on the way home,” he explains. “We want to save lives. We do not need small steps for this, but sustainable solutions. We can test this with a group of friends, a neighborhood committee, a youth movement or a local road safety committee and then generalize it further.”
