In the 500 meters at the European Championships, Merijn Scheperkamp and Dai Dai N’tab have won a medal. The North Hollanders had to acknowledge their superiority in Piotr Michalski, who was just faster (0.01 second) than Scheperkamp.
Scheperkamp, who managed to get a ticket in the 500 meters at the Olympic qualifying tournament, rode in a direct duel against Dai Dai N’tab. The two were away very quickly, after which the Hilversummer was the first to cross the finish line (34.61). N’tab clocked 34.76 and finished third in the 500 meters.
