The transfer poker around BVB professional Jamie Gitten picks up speed. Chelsea FC has now supposedly submitted a first offer for the English offensive player in Dortmund. The sum is likely to make the black and yellow think – or bind your hands.
According to a report by the portal “Caight Offside”, FC Chelsea has ignited the next stage in the poker around BVB star Jamie Gitten and made Borussia Dortmund a first concrete offer. An offer that has it all.
We are talking about an offer of a whopping £ 55 million (approx. 65 million euros). It is not clear whether the BVB is sufficient to release the player. However, it is also unclear whether BVB’s exchange approval is still required for an offer in this amount.
Is there an exit clause in Gitten’s BVB contract?
“The Athletic” reported about three weeks ago of an exit clause in Gitten’s contract. After the Dortmunders still qualified for the Champions League, the transfer there has changed again according to the report: 60 million euros. Chelsea FC would have overfilled its obligation with an offer of over 65 million euros.
“Caight Offside” claims that it is not yet known whether the BVB would weaken over 65 million. Meanwhile, it should be secured that the Londoners have so far showed the greatest interest in a gittens obligation.
FC Bayern also has its fingers in the game
In addition to the blues, FC Arsenal, Manchester City and FC Bayern are also considered potential contact points for the 20-year-old, whose sporty star at Borussia has decreased somewhat in the second half of the season. After Gittens played an outstanding first half series, he often only came to short missions in the second half of the season.
This was also reflected in his numbers. If the wing striker scored nine goals by the turn of the year, only three were added in 2025. Over the past few months, BVB should have matured that gittens will be let with a suitable offer.
