The fire brigade responded to an outdoor fire around 2:20 a.m. A group of young people had gathered and prevented the fire brigade from extinguishing the fire. Police and riot police then arrived on the scene to disperse the group. At least one arrest has been made. The fire service subsequently got the fire under control.
Emergency Ordinance
Mayor Johannes Kramer announced an emergency ordinance for the entire built-up area on Friday morning. This was instituted as a precaution and includes a ban on schooling together. The emergency ordinance runs until Monday, January 3, 8 a.m.
