Italian Sergio Mattarella has been sworn in as president in Rome. The 80-year-old politician is starting his second term in office. Italy’s parliamentarians and regional representatives had re-elected Mattarella on Saturday to a new seven-year term. He received a large majority of 759 of the 1,009 possible votes in the eighth ballot.
