MasterChef 13, winner Eleonora Riso: dishes and eliminated

The final dishes

The twelfth and final episode opens with a four-way battle. Antonio, Eleonora, Michela and Sara compete with the Mystery Box. A special guest arrives for the occasion. «A friend and colleague, a 3 Michelin star chef who is defined as the king of new Swiss cuisine», anticipates Barbieri. Sara is eliminated

The second test consists in replicating one of chef Caminada’s dishes among the three proposed. Quail and beetroot; char with buttermilk foam; zander with jalapeño, green peppers and green tomatoes. Eleonora assigns the dishes: char to Antonio, pike perch to Michela and quail to Sara. The one eliminated is Sara, who must remove her apron and leave the kitchen MasterChef.

Her menu is called Mountain experience. «I take you to the places that created my origins and that I love most. From Lake Garda to Mantua to the Mincio river, the Alps and the Dolomites and the journey will end at my house with my strudel because you will discover places that perhaps you have never seen”, she announces.

Antonio brings the menu The key to everything. He finds inspiration in Goethe, who on his trip to Italy «says that Italy without Sicily leaves no mark on the soul because it is in Sicily that the key to everything is found. It wants to be a tribute to Sicily. All the ingredients will also refer to all the populations that have dominated and contaminated it.”

Eleonora presents the menu Ichigo ichie. «A few years ago I read a book that explained the concept of in a simple way ichigo ichie. An invitation to live every moment because every moment is unrepeatable. I decided to bring a menu inspired by Japanese cuisine, which is intertwined with my traditions and which features fish that have been important in various experiences of my life». It is a long battle, which comes at the end of a journey full of joys and pitfalls, defeats and satisfactions.
