At Copper Mountain

Last season he was the best and won the overall World Cup. But before the start of the Super-G, Marco Odermatt has health problems.
The start of the men’s Super-G will take place on Thursday evening at 7 p.m. German time. The best speed riders fight for a podium place in the World Cup in Copper Mountain. Actually, last season’s overall World Cup winner would also be there, but Marco Odermatt is ailing.
At the beginning of the week, the 2022 Olympic champion told “Blick”: “I caught something.” On Wednesday, the Swiss quickly completed the slope descent in the USA so that he could then recover in the hotel. Tom Stauffer, head coach of Swiss Ski, confirmed to Eurosport that Odermatt had contracted a mild flu.
This year’s double world champion and Odermatt’s teammate, Franjo von Allmen, is, however, optimistic. He said before the start on Thursday: “We found really fantastic training conditions in Chile and Zermatt in September and October, we are really well prepared. In principle, the only thing we can do is get in our own way.”
