Argentina’s soccer icon Diego Maradona has openly displayed his disapproval of suspended top officials Joseph S. Blatter and Michel Platini. Argentinian journalist Daniel Arcucci posted a photo on Instagram of Maradona posing, grinning broadly, in a T-shirt on which the heads of ousted FIFA President Blatter and his Uefa colleague Platini have been photomontaged. Below it is written “Two Thiefs” in big letters. Arcucci posted a quote for the photo, after which Maradona (55) is said to have said: “That’s 25 years.” He was obviously referring to the length of the terms of office of the two presidents; Blatter since 1998, Platini since 2007.
