The fire brigade in Seymour posted a striking message on Facebook this week. They were out for a house fire on Saturday. Huge flames had developed along the side of the house. Fortunately, the fire could be prevented from spreading further.
The cause of the fire was also quickly clear: the homeowner had used a flamethrower to get rid of the snow in front of the door. Then he could call 911. “We do not recommend the use of flamethrowers or similar devices in case you want to melt ice,” according to the advice of the fire service.
Flamethrowers are legal in most US states, Yahoo reports.
