He tore a judge’s hair out, called on the public prosecutor’s office to be attacked and sent 287 people fantasizing about torture for a top Berlin official.

“I suffer from being considered dangerous,” says Savvas V. (25). “With my martial arts experience, I would love to work as a bodyguard. But I didn’t get an education voucher from the job center.”

He sits behind bulletproof glass in front of the district court. The public prosecutor considers him to be dangerous. His lawyer says: “I’ve known him since he was young. His subject is police violence. In blatant situations, he switches to self-defense against alleged attacks from the state.”

When the judge announced to him in November 2021 that he would have to stay in the hospital for another four weeks, he panicked. “I’m really sorry about the judge,” says Savvas V.

“But I had already told her before: If she does that, I have no reason to behave.” He pulled her hair and tore out a tuft. The judge passed out and was treated at the emergency room. Savvas V. is convinced: “I’m not a bad guy!”

However, his father’s “contacts in the red-light district” only “always conveyed to the son that he is a loser,” says the lawyer. The public prosecutor’s office is seeking permanent accommodation of the accused in a psychiatric hospital.

Judgment on June 7th.
