Major earthquake of 7.3 shocks Indonesia and can be felt as far as Australia

An earthquake measuring 7.3 on the Richter scale shook parts of Indonesia and Australia overnight. The earthquake struck at around 3:30 a.m. local time at a depth of 200 kilometers near the Kepulauan Barat Daya archipelago. This is reported by the European Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC) and the American United States Geological Survey (USGS). No tsunami warning has been issued. The quake was felt up to 600 kilometers away in northern Australia.
