Maastricht University withdraws message: obesity does not cost society 79 billion per year

Maastricht University has incorrectly stated that overweight and obesity cost Dutch society 79 billion euros annually. This amount does not accurately reflect the scientific study underlying it. A news item about this, published in 2022, will be withdrawn for that reason.
