Louis van Gaal advisor to the Supervisory Board: “Would like to help Ajax”

Louis van Gaal will advise the Supervisory Board (SB) on technical football matters, Ajax announced this evening. “In this way, the vacant position of former Supervisory Board member Jan van Halst is filled, who recently decided not to return to the Supervisory Board once his term as temporary director of general affairs at Ajax expires,” the club writes.

The former head coach of the Amsterdam club would like to ‘help Ajax’. “A large part of my life takes place in Portugal and that can be combined well with this role as an external advisor. I am happy to put my football knowledge at the service of the Supervisory Board, especially once Leo van Wijk and Michael van Praag have been appointed,” he says. “The sporting path upwards must be started and we can and must all contribute to this.”

The day before yesterday it was announced that the Supervisory Board of Ajax nominated Michael van Praag and Leo van Wijk as members of the Supervisory Board.
