Several accidents caused many delays on the Brabant highways during the morning rush hour on Tuesday. Traffic jams have been slowly decreasing on most highways since nine o’clock.
The longest traffic jam was still on the A27 heading north around nine o’clock due to an accident near Werkendam. The accident caused an hour’s delay from the Hooipolder junction. Around nine o’clock the delay is still half an hour. There is a short spectator traffic jam in the other direction.

Many other traffic jams on the Brabant highways also decreased in length around nine o’clock. The A58 from Eindhoven to Breda has been open again since half past eight after an accident involving several vehicles at the De Baars junction. However, traffic on the road from Eindhoven to Breda still ended up in a small traffic jam from Oirschot around nine o’clock.

It was also busy in the other direction of the A58 on Tuesday morning. An accident happened around six o’clock in the direction from Tilburg to Eindhoven. One lane was closed. At its peak, this led to a fourteen kilometer long traffic jam from the De Baars junction. The delay was up to 45 minutes. The lane was opened around seven o’clock, but around half past seven the traffic jam was still seven kilometers long.
On the A2 from Den Bosch in the direction of Utrecht, traffic was still moving slowly between Rosmalen and Zaltbommel around nine o’clock. Traffic on the highway was also moving slowly at Boxtel towards the Vught junction. The traffic jams on the A2 were not caused by accidents, they were the normal Tuesday morning rush.
