Live NH Sport: the next cellar cracker for Telstar is in Den Bosch

Even if there is one this weekend international break Telstar will continue playing football tonight. The Velsen residents, who have not yet managed to escape from the bottom regions of the first division, will play the next cellar cracker. After Jong Ajax, MVV Maastricht and TOP Oss, FC Den Bosch is the opponent this time.

Remarkably, Telstar won all three matches against those direct competitors. They were all home games. Telstar has not yet won away this season. Of the seven league matches away from home, six were lost; only the visit to ADO Den Haag yielded a point (1-1). In the KNVB cup tournament, the Witte Leeuwen lost in Veenendaal against the amateurs of GVVV (1-0).

FC Den Bosch is also experiencing a difficult season. The team of Polish coach Tomasz Kaczmarek has not won for seven games in a row. The Brabanders are therefore on the same level as Telstar in the rankings.

A hopeful statistic for Telstar is that four of the last five matches in Den Bosch ended in a victory. Last season, Anwar Bensabouh scored the only goal of the match.

FC Den Bosch – Telstar starts tonight at 6.45 pm and can be followed live on NH Radio. Reporters in De Vliert are Stephan Brandhorst and Menno Schilder.
