In November 2024, for the first time since 2017 and since the death of the band’s former front singer, Chester Bennington, with the LP from Zero, published new music from Linkin Park. Since then, the new voice in the group’s tracks has come from Emily Armstrong. There was also a new occupation on the drums: instead of Rob Bourdon, Colin Brittain is now sitting on the instrument. Almost four months later, Now promised new sounds of the Americans. Shinoda and Co. are not currently showing whether this means only a track dropout or whether another album can still be expected in 2025.
“Up From The Bottom”: Little Song teaser on Instagram
The new song “Up from the Bottom” is scheduled to appear on March 27th. The Nu metalers already shared a small foretaste on Instagram. In the video you can see Emily Armstrong and Mike Shinoda in the studio when the new track is recorded. You can also hear how Armstrong sings the lines “Sometimes IT Feels Like I’m Barely Breathing”, which means something like: “Sometimes I have the feeling that I hardly have the feeling.”
More information about the release is currently still available.

Chart succession
Many fans are likely to be (positive) surprised that new music from the group will appear again so quickly. The charts of the 2024 album also seem to reflect the great interest in the American band. From Zero reached the top of the charts in ten countries. In Germany and Austria, the record was in front after the release on November 15th. Linkin Park also led the hit lists in Australia, Belgium, Canada, the Netherlands, France, Italy, New Zealand and Great Britain.
