Football player Leon Goretzka celebrated a very special anniversary in the Bundesliga home game with Bayern Munich against Werder Bremen: The midfielder of the German football record champion runs for the 300th time in the upper house. 116 of these games he played for his ex-club Schalke 04.
Goretzka switched from FC Schalke 04 to Bayern in 2018, since then played 270 competitive games for the Munich team, scored 46 goals and prepared 48 more goals.
Despite strong numbers, Goretzka was recently considered to be a candidate for sales at the Munich team, but repeatedly prevailed against the strong team of teams. The 30-year-old is now an undisputed top performer of Kompany’s team.
