A good two months before the start of the biathlon season, world champion Franziska Preuss publicly makes an injury that she suffered weeks ago – and at the same time gives the all -clear.

Franziska Preuß injured himself at the German championships of the biathletes in the early September in the event of a fall and an operation behind him. The overall World Cup winner of the pre-season only announced this on social media.

“Unfortunately, at the first of the three races of the German championship, I suffered an injury to my hand in a fall,” wrote Prussia without naming the exact diagnosis. In a photo, however, two fingers of the left hand are tied and immobilized.

At the same time, the 31-year-old indicated that she was not too impaired by the operation in preparation for the Olympic winter. “Fortunately, everything could be repaired directly and a week after the operation it was possible to start training again. Rarely damage without benefits: Now the focus is now more on the leg strength,” joked Prussia.

Her rehabilitation has been going on to the training camp in Antholz on Saturday, where the Olympic medals will also be awarded in February, Prussia announced. “Hopefully the 2nd floor will be used there again,” she wrote.

Biathlon: Prussia still won titles with a damaged hand
