Lawyer of imam largest Belgian mosque in appeal against withdrawal of residence right

The lawyer of Mohamed Toujgani, the head imam of the Al Khalil mosque in Molenbeek, has lodged an appeal with the Council for Immigration Disputes against the decision of State Secretary for Asylum and Migration Sammy Mahdi (CD&V) to withdraw the imam’s right of residence. The lawyer announced this on Friday. He also lodged a complaint with Committee I, the body that oversees the intelligence services.
