Former cycling star Lance Armstrong has received a lot of attention after posting a thread on Twitter about transgender athletes. Armstrong posted a chain of five tweets on Twitter promoting his new series on the subject.
– Are we really in a situation where heated discussion is frowned upon and even feared? A situation where people’s worst fear is getting fired, scorned, or being cancelled? As someone who is all too familiar with this phenomenon, I am in a unique position to discuss the topic, Armstrong wrote on Twitter.
Together with the tweet, Armstrong published a video, which is a small part of a larger whole that will be published later. In the video, Armstrong travels Caitlyn Jenner’s create to talk about trans athletes.
Caitlyn Jenner is one of the most famous trans people in the world. In her career, Jenner won, among other things, Olympic gold at the Montreal Olympics. At the time, Jenner was competing in the men’s division using the name Bruce Jenner.
Jenner has publicly spoken out against the inclusion of trans women in women’s series. Jenner corrected her gender only after her sports career.
